The Lions of District 37S have had sight and hearing projects as a focus of our clubs for years. Lions of Montana assist individuals by providing services ranging from new eyeglasses for deserving youth or recycled hearing aids for seniors or supporting eye banks. The Montana Sight and Hearing Foundation (see below) and Low Vision Montana (see below) are two state-wide programs supported by the Lions of Montana.

The Montana Sight and Hearing Foundation: Any activities to benefit those with sight and hearing impairment vary with each Lions club – so the public is urged to contact your local Lions Club for assistance. The Montana Sight and Hearing Foundation is supported by all Lions in Montana and provides sight and hearing assistance beyond what individual Lions clubs can.

Low Vision MT: Low Vision Montana’s mission is to connect people who have low vision or blindness, and their families, with options that create and enhance independence. It was recently adopted as an official project of Lions District 37S. Low Vision Montana’s mobile unit (which Lions are helping to develop) will eventually house a variety of low vision aides that can be examined and evaluated by consumers for potential usefulness. The mobile unit will also be utilized by eye care professionals to provide exams as the unit travels around the state. More information will be posted here when it is available.
