District Convention News

September 30th and October 1 marked this year’s 37S Convention at Buck’s T4 Resort at Big Sky, Montana.  It was a successful gathering of about 75 Lions who enjoyed the spectacular scenery, great food, interesting programs and as always – the fellowship of Lions from across the state.

If you were there post a comment to this post telling us what you thought of the convention.

Several actions were taken in the business meeting on Saturday.  Look for them and any comments about the convention in the next post scheduled for Thursday October 13.

Challenges and Achievements

Flooding seems to have become the norm for a wide swath of Montana as heavy rains fill usually dry channels to the brim. Some areas such as the Crow reservation near Billings are particularly hard hit. Lions are individually assisting others with the challenges of relocation and by providing essential supplies.  The image above was taken during a break in the rain on Monday, May 23rd, and shows a panoramic view of Pryor Creek Golf Course near Huntley, Montana.

Instructions for posting your club’s information and news

Go to your club page.  Toward the bottom of the page you will find boxes to type your name and e-mail address.  The text you want displayed on the web page goes in the bigger box.  A database records the entry when you hit “submit.”  Neither your name nor address will be displayed in the public posting unless you retype them in the “message” box.  Click on “Post a Comment.”

When you submit a comment, an e-mail is sent to me prompting me to make it publicly available.  Instead, I will nearly always use my administrative privileges to replace the existing page message with your clubs info.  The basic info for your club will always replace other text on the page so it appears at the top under the banner.

For an example see the Billings Club.  Photos have been added (email those to: webmaster@billingslions.org).  Otherwise the words were copied from a comment and added to the page.  There is also a comment (about PDG Theimer) that was posted as is.
